According to Nintendo of America President and CEO Reggie Fils-Aime, however, his company has plenty of unannounced games in the works for the console — and some will even arrive before March 31.

During an interview with IGN, Fils-Aime was asked what the Big N had planned after the launch window, and what kind of content would be arriving in the later half of 2013. Reggie didn’t specify what was being worked on behind the scenes at this point in time, but did confirm that unannounced titles are en route to the Wii U.

Reggie did clarify that there are games coming out “during the launch window that we haven’t announced yet.” Whether or not he’s referring to internal projects (like the rumored Legend of Zelda game) or unconfirmed third-party titles isn’t clear, but it’s reassuring to hear that there will be plenty of content arriving on the Wii U well after its launch.

It’s possible that Fils-Aime may be referring to downloadable software as well, which would make sense considering the lack of digital-only games announced for the Wii U thus far. Whatever it is that Nintendo and its partners have planned for the system following its launch window is still a mystery, but gamers will probably learn about what’s in store for the future of the Wii U after it’s been made available to the masses.

The Nintendo Wii U is scheduled to release in North America on November 18th.
