There’s been a lot of talk about Naughty Dog’s latest take on the first entry in the studio’s critically acclaimed post-apocalyptic series. There’s been a bit of footage from the upcoming The Last of Us, at least enough to whet the appetites of fans, and recently, another clip was leaked. However, it seems as though this latest video was deleted by the leaker, but not before the likes of Imgur could get hold of it. The clip shows a brief moment from the game’s story, but plot line aside, it’s another example of what the remake will look like upon release. The video is linked at the bottom of this article, but be warned it does contain a story spoiler.

The footage was said to have been released by freelance games writer Tom Henderson, who’s known in the industry for leaking a heap of gaming details ahead of time. Recently, he made mention of a possible Dead Island 2 revival, which has been stuck in development hell for quite some time. Henderson has also been known to leak information about the likes of Grand Theft Auto 6, as well as the latest rumors about what EA is possibly working on.

Recently, there’s also been quite a bit of coverage about the Naughty Dog remake. A recent The Last of Us video compares the PS4 version to the remake, which is handy for those who are interested in seeing a side-by-side comparison between this upcoming version and the remaster that was launched in 2014.

Featuring one of the most powerful storylines in gaming, The Last of Us Part 1 and Part 2 struck a chord with fans, particularly with their depictions of grief and the theme of loss. While there will be some people out there who perhaps don’t feel that a game which came out less than ten years ago is worthy of a remake, it will give others the opportunity to relive a more up-to-date version of the original game’s highly praised story.

The Last of Us releases for PS5 on September 2, 2022. A PC port is also in development.
