With this being the case, Monster Hunter World producer Ryozo Tsujimoto stated in a recent interview from Game Watch Impress at Taipei Game Show 2018 that the title could eventually add a “do-over” option for character creation should enough fans demand it. Until the feature is considered for addition, though, Tsujimoto and the game’s director, Yuya Tokuda, shared some tips for players to ensure that their character creations accurately translate to the way they will look in-game.

Yuya Tokuda, Director: You can change the lighting on the bottom-left. Using that, not only see what it’s like during the daytime, but you can also check the expressions and such for night. I think if you use that while making it, it might not be as off.

While some Monster Hunter World fans might be disappointed to learn that the ability to completely start from scratch with their character’s appearance likely won’t come as soon as they would have hoped, at least the game’s creators have acknowledged the situation. After all, MHW’s development team is surely busy focusing most of its attention on keeping the game running smoothly for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One players, while also polishing the PC version, which has been delayed until this fall.

Despite Monster Hunter World’s lack of a “do-over” option for character creation, it looks as if the action-RPG has already debuted with a good deal of success, as Capcom recently revealed that the game has already shipped more than 5 million units over the course of its first three days of availability. With this being the case, there are certainly plenty of existing players who could potentially assist in helping the character creation feature come to be if they are vocal enough.

Monster Hunter World is available now for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One, with a launch occurring at some point in autumn 2018 for PC.
