The Monster Hunter World Appreciation Fest is now live, and players can partake in the festivities until February 21. During this time, hunters will find that the Celestial Pursuit, the game’s gathering hub, is filled with decorations, and the Hub and Arena Lasses, Event Manager, and Provisions Manager are all “dressed to the nines with new costumes for the event.”

Furthermore, the Appreciation Fest will be a perfect opportunity for hunters to pickup any of the special gear they may have missed from past events, as “almost all of the past event quests will be available” during this anniversary celebration. These returning quests will be supplemented by a number of new quests as well, including one that will pit players against a mammoth Great Jargas and another that features a tempered Lavasioth.

As many will expect, the anniversary event also comes with some new gear for players to acquire in exchange for Appreciation Tickets, which are granted as a daily login bonus and can be earned by completing limited bounties. With Appreciation Tickets in hand, hunters can add a number of layered armors to their wardrobes, including the celebration-worthy Gala Suit, a new disco ball-themed Palico suit, and lance.

To round out the festivities, each of Astera’s facilities will offer discounted items at some point during the event, and players can also dine on a special appreciation platter until the Fest’s conclusion. For those that want to commemorate the moment, a new guild card background will be made available to participants as well.

With the upcoming addition of The Witcher’s Geralt of Rivia to the game, along with a major expansion scheduled to release later in the year, some fans may have their eyes firmly set on the future of Monster Hunter World. However, the Appreciation Fest is an excellent moment to indulge in everything that has made the game great up to this point.

Monster Hunter World is available now for PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One.
