As the item’s name suggests, the Large Herbivore Bone cannot be obtained by killing any of the carnivorous large monsters that most quests focus on. Instead, Monster Hunter Rise: Sunbreak players can acquire Large Herbivore Bones by killing two kinds of small monsters: Rhenoplos and Slagtoth.

How to Get Large Herbivore Bone in Sunbreak
Finding and Carving Slagtoth
The first monster that players can kill and carve to get Large Herbivore Bones is the Slagtoth. These docile, herbivore creatures are typically found in coastal areas.
Players should be able to spot them in the Flooded Forest (Areas 1, 2, 4, 5) and in the Lava Caverns (Areas 1 and 2).
By carving the Slagtoth, hunters have a 20% chance to get a Large Herbivore Bone.
Finding and Carving Rhenoplos
Rhenoplos are less calm than the Slagtoth, known to charge at unsuspecting hunters out in the wild. Players also have a 20% chance of getting the Large Herbivore Bone from carving a Rhenoplos.
To find a Rhenoplos, players should check out Sandy Plains or the Lava Caverns.
However, the Lava Caverns only have two areas where the Rhenoplos gather (Areas 4 and 5), so players should definitely head to Sandy Plains first for farming, specifically in these areas: 1, 6, 8, 10, and 11.
