How to Get Barroth Crown
In order to get Barroth Crown, hunters will need to face off against Barroth in Master Rank. This means that it’s impossible to get a Barroth Crown in the base game, as it’s only available as part of the Sunbreak expansion.
Regarding the percentage for acquiring the drop, there’s a 6% chance of obtaining the Barroth Crown as a straight-up Target Reward, which is just a reward for completing the Barroth quest. There’s an 8% chance of getting a Barroth Crown via Capture Rewards, which is, of course, tied to capturing Barroth instead of killing it. There’s also a 6% chance of getting the monster part by carving Barroth’s dead body.
And last but not least, the best chance for players to acquire a Barroth Crown is by carving Barroth’s scalp. Now, the scalp can only be removed from Barroth by smacking its head with a blunt weapon. Players using weapons like a Sword and Shield or a Bow won’t be able to easily break the crown, so make sure to use something like a Hammer, Great Sword, or Hunting Horn.
After enough damage is dealt, the Barroth Scalp will fall off, and players can carve it for a 70% chance of getting a Barroth Crown.
To easily start a Barroth quest, players can speak to Chichae and take on the 1-star quest titled “Barroth to a Great Start.'
