Two other Afflicted Materials that can be obtained through Anomaly Quests are Afflicted Bone and Afflicted Monster Bone. While both items have almost the exact name, they’re two completely different items used for crafting different things. This guide will go over how to get both of these items.

How to Get Anomaly Quests
As mentioned previously, Anomaly Quests can be taken on at the Elgado Outpost Quest Counter once players wrap up Sunbreak’s main story. These quests will pit hunters against Afflicted versions of existing monsters that are a bit wilder than the original monsters, sometimes adding new attacks to their repertoire due to the effects of a virus called the Qurio.
Players will start off with only one rank of Anomaly Quests, but more will be presented to players for every ten levels gained in Monster Hunter Rise’s Master Rank.
How to Get Afflicted Bone
To get Afflicted Bone in Sunbreak, hunters can take on one of these three 1-Star Anomaly Quests:
Lagombi Arzuros Volvidon
There’s a 20% chance of getting Afflicted Bone by either carving or breaking the listed monsters’ parts. Players wanting to break as many parts as possible should use a Blunt weapon, such as a Hammer or Hunting Horn, while also being equipped with the Part Breaker skill.
How to Get Afflicted Monster Bone
Now, to get Afflicted Monster Bone, players will need to unlock the 2-star Anomaly Quests by increasing their Master Rank to 20. The 2-star large monsters that have a 20% chance of dropping Afflicted Monster Bone are as follows:
Aknosom Royal Ludroth Barroth Basarios
Just like the Afflicted Bone, the Afflicted Monster Bone can only be obtained by carving or as a Broken Part reward.
