Monster Hunter Rise: Novacrystal Location

Players that are in need of Novacrystals should head to the Flooded Forest on a High Rank Expedition, ideally when there is an “Upsurge: Mining Outcrops” in effect. For the uninitiated, fans will gain access to High Rank Expeditions upon reaching Level 4 with the Gathering Hub in Monster Hunter Rise’s Kamura Village, and upsurges are listed under each Expedition’s “Locale Info.”

Upon arriving at the Flooded Forest in Monster Hunter Rise, players should start interacting with the blue and white Mining Outcrops that are scattered across the location. Indeed, Novacrystals have a chance to be granted when these nodes are harvested, and fans can see their positions on the detailed map that is available in game. Alternatively, players can look to the following map, which showcases the potions of all the Mining Outcrops in the Flooded Forest.

With respect to how to efficiently farm Novacrystals from these nodes, fans are advised to focus on the Mining Outcrops that are on the west-half of the map. Indeed, Monster Hunter Rise players that value efficiency are better off simply ignoring the nodes that are in and around the pyramid in the southeast corner of the Flooded Forest, as they do not fit nicely into the circular path that is created by the western Outcrops. That said, if a player ends up near the pyramid during a hunt, they should certainly feel free to try to extract some Novacrystals from the nodes in the area.

One final thing to mention is that Meowcenaries that are dispatched to the Flooded Forest do have a chance to return with Novacrystals, provided that there are ore nodes along their path. While players will undoubtedly obtain the material much more quickly by doing their own harvesting, some fans may still be interested in giving their Meowcenaries this task. For full clarity, players can manage their Meowcenaries by speaking with Chief Kogarashi in Monster Hunter Rise’s Buddy Plaza, which is located across a bridge in Kamura Village.

Monster Hunter Rise is available on PC, PS4, PS5, Switch, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X.
