Upgrading weapons and crafting new armor is extremely important at any stage in Monster Hunter Rise, but especially so early on. The Jumbo Bone will help with both of these endeavors and can be obtained rather easily. Once players know where to get them, they shouldn’t have any issues in finding whatever they need.

Monster Hunter Rise - Where to Find Jumbo Bones

Jumbo Bones are a Low Rank material and can be obtained from carves, quest rewards, and capture rewards. Players wanting to get Jumbo Bones should look for quests relating to Arzuros, Lagombi, Bishaten, Volvidon, and Tetranadon. All of these monsters have around a 7-15% chance to reward Jumbo Bones when carved.

If players choose to go after Arzuros, Volvidon, or Lagombi, players can instead choose to capture these monsters for even higher chances of receiving Jumbo Bones. Surprisingly, players can also get Jumbo Bones from carving Popo at a 6% chance, so players don’t even need to hunt a large monster to get this material if they focus on Popos instead.

Monster Hunter Rise - Jumbo Bone Uses

Jumbo Bone is used to craft Low Rank armor and weapons but is primarily used to upgrade Low Rank Armor to higher rarities. Armor like the Lagombi Helm, Tetranadon Mail, and the Volvidon Coil all require Jumbo Bones, as well as many weapons based on Arzuros, Lagombi, Bishaten, Volvidon, and Tetranadon. Finally, players could also choose to sell Jumbo Bones for 150 Zenny, but there are far better ways to earn money in Monster Hunter Rise, so these are best used as upgrade materials instead.

That’s all there is to finding Jumbo Bones and how to use them in Monster Hunter Rise. Whether players choose to hunt down large monsters like Lagombi or instead focus on hunting Popo, they should have no trouble getting the Jumbo Bones they need to upgrade their weapons and craft new armor.

Monster Hunter Rise is available on PC, PS4, PS5, Switch, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
